There are levels upon levels of perspectives we must consider when we try to understand our individual perceptions of things, or when we try to relate our own perceptions to those of our brothers and sisters.  Every single one of our previous experiences in life will affect in some way the mental perspective from which we see the world around us.

2008 Orange County Fair

We need your help!  We are entering the 2008 Orange County Fair photography contest again this year.  They accept up to three submissions.  We know two of the three we want to submit but can't decide on the third.

That's where you come in.  Please take our survey to help us decide.  There are five photographs in the survey on which you can vote.  And the one that gets the most votes will be the one that is submitted.

But hurry.  The deadline for submitting the photographs is rapidly approaching.

Active Postings on Our BLOG!

As we monitor the activity on our BLOG site, several postings are getting quite a bit of attention.  Here's a list.

What Constitutes a Fine Art Photograph?  This posting has consistently been one of the ones people are most interested in.

Canon 1Ds Mark III Workflow  This posting is popular for its reference to a 800 M Byte image file.

Canon 1Ds Mark III Dynamic Range  This posting is a report on some tests I ran to get some idea of the dynamic range of the Mark III's sensor.  The results were a bit surprising.

So click here to check it out.

Testimonials

While I'm not an expert on photography, I can appreciate the majestic beauty of nature in Ralph's photographs.  It makes one want to abandon the daily grind and take time to reflect on the deeper meaning of life and our surroundings.  Highly recommended.

~ Bjorn Romberg

Your photos are throughout our house now and everyone is just amazed at your work. I never get tired of looking at them. It's almost a euphoric experience each time [I] glance by one.

~Brian Elledge

I have already found a home for your photo--I placed it so that it's one of the first things I see when I enter the house. It catches light at different angles all day, so its character changes in a way that I find very pleasing.

~Wendy Gilmore

Ralph’s photography is compelling and brilliant.  Each image tells a story, visually. It draws the viewer in because of its arresting beauty or striking composition and keeps him there, exploring.  It’s like visual poetry.

My Brother's Website
I'm not the only one that shoots in our family.  My middle brother is an awesome photographer.  He does landscapes, wildlife and has recently turned to black and white.  You can check out his work on his website.

Johan Dermaut

You don't need to read or speak Dutch to appreciate the beautiful photography of Johan Dermaut.  Cityscapes, flowers, landscapes, macro, abstracts, black and white - his compositions are sophisticated and his photographs are warm and welcoming.  Journey with him on his website on http://www.photodj.be/galerijen.html.

Little Green Apples

Margaret is an online friend who lives in Florida.  She does fanciful and very beautiful things to other people's art with PhotoImpact, turning them into very beautiful and often whimsical creations.

Jacqui's Cards

Jacqui is an online acquaintance I met through Margaret.  Her specialty is online cards and they are beautiful.  I’m confident you will enjoy them and, hopefully, find an occasion where they will be just the thing you need.
