Mount Kinesava (2015)
Coyote God of the Canyon was blamed for no end of trouble by the local Paiute. He hurled rocks, shot bolts of lightning and started smoky fires that gave away their position to their enemies, the Navajos. Could it be that they hazard its treacherous slops and carved petroglyphs to appease him?
Today Mount Knesava is seldom visited because of the strenuous and challenging ascent. And being outside the main canyon of Zion it is not often photographed. That’s a shame because it still is capable of sending thrills through one’s heart, especially in the golden light of sunset.
