Weston Beach (2014)
Named for the famed photographer, Edward Weston, whose memory still wanders Point Lobos, Weston Beach holds endless fascination. With both literal and abstract compositions galore, it calls to the photographer with a clear, loud voice. But at the end of the day, images safely on memory cards, gear packed up, heading back to the car, the beach makes one last whispered invitation. It barely rises above the hiss of the waves but we hear it and are moved. We stop, eagerly set up and delight in the glow of one final, splendid moment.
