The coastal redwoods of Northern California are blessed with fog, lots of fog. It is fog that plays a large role in keeping them alive, providing 40 percent of their moisture intake. And it is the gentle, soft fog that provides us with moments of sheer delight and excitement. Who is not inspired by the beautiful shafts of sunlight streaming through the solemn forest?
