Photographs that reveeal the magic and wonder of Death Valley National Park.
Aguereberry Point North (2016)
High above the parched Death Valley floor, in the cool of the Panamint Mountains, is the wonderful overlook where Pete Aguereberry proudly took friends and visitors after showing off his Eureka gold mind a short distance back down the road. It’s a wonderful experience to stand on this prominent point, named in Aguereberry’s honor, where the grandeur of Death Valley unfolds to the north – past Furnace Creek to Hell’s Gate and the Grapevine Mountains beyond. In the late afternoon as blue shadows begin to creep across the valley floor, the view becomes especially spectacular with the ribs of the mountain range protruding above the alluvial fans. It’s a wonderful experience to be sure.
