Photographs that reveeal the magic and wonder of Death Valley National Park.
Aguereberry Point South (2012)
I think Pete Aguereberry is a person I would have liked. Gold prospector and sole worker at his Eureka mine, Pete barely eked out a living. But his mine wasn’t far from a spectacular view overlooking Death Valley from high above. He called this viewpoint ‘The Great View.’ He built the road that leads to the point and loved to take friends up there to enjoy the spectacle. Today the point is known as Aguereberry Point in Pete’s honor. It’s a wonderful place to close out the day, watching the shadows creep across the valley floor.
