Photographs that reveeal the magic and wonder of Death Valley National Park.
Devil's Golf Course (2011)
Salt. Everywhere you look there is salt. Wet your finger. Touch it. Taste it. Salt. So much of the story of Death Valley is written in salt. And nowhere does the salt assume a more grotesque, intimidating and fanciful form than at Devil’s Golf Course. Yea, you can walk on it. But be careful. If you fall you will be rubbing salt in your wounds – big time. Devil’s Golf Course is amazing, especially at sunrise or sunset. Standing there and gazing over the endless expanse you feel you are in an ocean that has been petrified into crusty, colorful waves. A feeling of vastness washes over you. What lays before you is both forbidding and inviting, calling you back.
