Photographs that reveeal the magic and wonder of Death Valley National Park.
Traffic Jam (2008)
The Racetrack Playa in Death Valley National Park would certainly qualify as a remote place, far from the usual accouterments of civilization, what with the nasty 27 mile dirt road that protects it from less determined humans. But even at the amazing Racetrack, where rocks mysteriously glide about the place leaving tracks behind in the mud, traffic congestion can still be found. These two rocks seem to be getting into each other’s way. The situation is compounded by the fact that the rock on the right doesn’t seem to know where he’s going. Could it possibly be a male driver, lost and unwilling to stop to ask directions? But nevertheless, it all works out and the other rock must be a female because the two of them seem to have made a love connection.
