Photographs that reveeal the magic and wonder of Death Valley National Park.
Twenty Mule Team Canyon (2013)
Named for the famous mule teams that pulled wagons filled with borax from the mines in Death Valley 165 miles to the city of Mojave, it’s not likely that the trail ever passed through this canyon. A part of the Furnace Creek formation, Twenty Mule Team Canyon provides an opportunity to drive its gravel road and get out and wander through its canyon, unlike its more popular and well known neighbor, Zabriskie Point. Even in mid-day Twenty Mule Team Canyon can be impressive and inspiring. It calls. I hear it. I must return.
