We were set up on the Vista House
promontory above Columbia River prepared
for a wonderful sunset.
Thunderstorms had been rolling over the
area all afternoon. Lightening was
flashing and the thunder crashing above
our heads and all around us. We
were in the middle of the storm and it
was exhilarating. I snapped away
as the sun descended, hoping to catch
the sun as it got under the clouds and
set them afire. But the fire I
captured was a different kind as the
clouds released their pent up charge.
"I got it! I got it!" I cheered.
It was as though the lightening bolt had
transferred its energy to me as I danced
from one photographer to the next
shouting, "I got it!"
