Mono Lake under the Harvest Moon
The water of the lake is dark and still and the ice cold air quietly stirs as I approach the south shore of Mono
Lake. I put on my gloves and set up my camera. The sun is just rising over Denver, one time zone to the east.
Over my shoulder the Sierra Nevada Mountains still dream under the bright face of the harvest moon. The mysterious tufas
are marvelous, their fantastic shapes accentuated in the extraordinary moonlight.
