Burg Rheinstein (2010)

Records of Rheinstein castle date back to 1279.  In the 14th century the Archbishop of Trier, Kuno von Falkenstein took ownership.  In the beginning of the 19th century Prince Friedrich of Prussia acquired the ruins and had them rebuilt in pseudo-gothic style.  Today the castle contains an impressive collection of armor and art treasures of the 16th and 17th centuries.
