In the country where Martin Luther gave birth to the Protestant Reformation in 1517 that split from the Roman Catholic Church, we visited only one Lutheran church.  But it was glorious.  The Lutherans didn't build grand edifices like the Catholics. Nevertheless, this richly adorned Baroque style church contains a gold encrusted altar crowned with the pipes of its organ that is literally breath taking.
