If you would like to submit a photograph for review here's what we need...

• Create a JPEG image that is 72 pixels per inch and 600 pixels on the vertical dimension.
• Make sure there are no identifying copyrights or other indications of who you are.  Remember, these reviews are anonymous.
• Write a short introduction to the photograph.  If there's something that you would particularly like feedback such as color, contrast, composition, etc. be sure to include this in the introduction.  This will be used to introduce your image in the review.
• A statement of what you were trying to accomplish with the image.  This could include why you selected the subject, how you composed it and what effect you were trying to achieve in the post processing.
• Provide a title for your photograph.  If you don't have a title for it, specify 'Untitled.'
• Send me an email with the JPEG file attached.  Include the title and the introduction in the email.  Also include your contact information including mailing address and daytime phone number.  My email address is Ralph@RalphNordstromPhotography.com.

Submissions that do not meet the above specifications cannot be considered.  If that happens I'll let you know and give you the option of resubmitting.

At this point I don't know how many people will respond with requests for reviews.  I will try to send out every photograph I receive but if that gets to be too time consuming I'll have to be more selective.  I still want time to work on my own photographs you know.

When (if) your photograph is selected, an email will go out to the reviewers with a link to the review pages.  The reviewers are your peers.  They will be given a period of time to submit their responses, generally several days.  At the end of that time the responses will be collected, edited (the most helpful responses will be selected), and published on a protected website.  An email will then go out to you and everyone that participated with the link to the page and the password.

You will not know which reviewer made the comment and they will not know you.  In this way you can be sure the reviews will be direct, honest and the most beneficial.

So go ahead and submit a photo.  I can be a very valuable experience for you.
