Death Valley National Park
Death Valley is a place of amazing
diversity and unique photographic opportunities.
From Bad Water, the lowest place in North America to the
towering Panamint range, from the contours of the
Mesquite Flats dunes to the flat mosaics of the endless
salt pans, from the badlands of Zabriskie Point to the
incredible colors of Artist's Palette, Death Valley is
filled with amazing wonders.
February is probably the most
exciting time of the year to be in Death Valley.
The temperatures are pleasant if not a bit on the cool
side (a far cry from the record temperatures of summer).
It also is a time when we have the greatest chance of
real weather and the dramatic photography that can go
with it.
And the history of Death Valley, both
geological and human, is fascinating and enriches the
experience.
