The photographs that have a strong impact on us speak to us.\u00a0 The photographer has created an image that moves us.\u00a0 Did he or she have something in mind when making the photograph?\u00a0 Probably so.\u00a0 Strong images just don\u2019t happen by accident.<\/p>\n

As one grows as a photographer one\u2019s vision becomes clearer.\u00a0 One begins to discover who they are and what they have to say.\u00a0 And as one\u2019s technical and aesthetic skills develop, skills used in both the field and the darkroom, one\u2019s ability to express their vision becomes stronger.<\/p>\n

The artist\u2019s vision is an important element of their art.\u00a0 The clearer an artist is on what his or her vision is the more expressive their art becomes.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re not clear on what your vision is, live with your photographs.\u00a0 Become aware of what you associate with them, what stories they are telling you, how they make you feel.\u00a0 And as your vision emerges nurture it, strengthen it, let it speak through you and your art.\u00a0 And then your photographs will also speak to others.<\/p>\n
