Christmas Cards

The idea of creating note cards is taking shape.  Tonight I printed a series of Christmas cards on sampler set from Red River Paper in Dallas, TX.  For a first cut, they turned out very well – after I figured out how to get my Epson 4800 to accept such small paper (7×10).  That only took about an hour of fumbling and stumbling around.

There were 12 different paper samples – three glossy or semi-glossy and the rest matte.  I was very surprised to find the matte papers holding the greatest detail.  Polar Matte was exceptional and even better than the glossy papers.  I may have to see if they have Polar Matte in larger sizes and rolls.

So we’re off and running.  Tomorrow morning we’ll decide which paper we like the best and I’ll place the order.  We should have it all wrapped up in time for Christmas.
